A Daughter's Fight For Her Dad

Donation protected

A daughter's fight for her father's life leaves her out of work for over two months with no income.

Please read on and help support this family. Their story--filled with strength, determination, and love--proves that sometimes people are brought together for a reason.

Michelle's father has been suffering from Kidney Disease for the last 20 years. Recently, his disease took a turn for the worst when tests revealed that if he didn't get a new kidney soon, he would be on dialysis for the rest of his life. Michelle's father is proactive with his health--he eats well, excercises, and remains positive. He has been on the transplant list for the last 3 years, but has not recieved a call from doctors saying they found a match.

Michelle's mother offered to donate her kidney, but after a year of rigourous testing and consultations, doctors found that her kidney had lost some renal function and said she is not able to be a donor.

Recently, though, Michelle found that she is a PERFECT match to donate a kidney to her father. But Michelle's generosity goes above and beyond.

At 11 months old, Michelle was taken out of an unfavorable situation and adopted by her parents. They were never able to have kids themselves, so instead raised Michelle as their own with unconditional love and taught her how to have a generous heart and to give unconditionally. She is currently a Hospital Manager at a veterinary clinic in Massachusetts.

When Michelle found out that her mother was unable to donate a kidney, she offered to begin testing. Recently told she was a perfect match, Michelle is ready to donate a kidney to her father.

But heart-rending news soon followed their discovery--the surgery would put her out of work for over two months and the veterinary hospital she works doesn't offer short term disability. So, she will be out of work for over two months with no income.

Aside from giving financial and emotional support to her mother and father as they battle kidney disease, she and her husband are also supporting their two young girls. During this coming winter, six family members will all be supported by Michelle's husband's salary alone.

Please help keep this family stable and see them through this coming winter. Anything that you can give at all will help keep this family focused on recovery.

I will be keeping them in my prayers!
Thank you so much!
