Saving Cruskits Leg

A couple of days ago we came home to find our sweet little Cruskit unable to put any weight on her back leg. After the vet did some X-rays they called us to inform us that she had been shot, a bullet that entered her stomach and hit her shin bone, splitting into two and shattering her leg. Cruskit is not a roamer and is a very nervous, but sweet little cat. The angle she was shot at indicates she was laying down defenceless. Unfortunately after seeing multiple vets and specialists, the cost of the procedure to operate is extremely steep. There is an extremely high risk of infection with gunshot wounds and she may still have to undergo another surgery. We have contacted police and RSPCA to help catch whoever is in possession of a firearm.
