10 years ago, I fell through a porch while working and found the most amazing kitten. I put him in my pocket (literally) and continued working all day with him. His name is Columbia and fast forward to today, we've lived in 4 states together, countless houses, dozens of Airbnbs, and graduated college together. I believe deeply he saved my soul years ago and now it's time for me to save him... but I have no idea how, so that's why we are here.

Last week, I took him to the vet because something was wrong. Above his left eye, a large mass started to grow. After a couple of hours, the vet came back with bad news. Cancer. A soft tissue sarcoma localized to one spot. Thankfully, he's healthy otherwise.

On Thursday, my best friend is going in for surgery. A surgery that he desperately needs if he's going to be around another 5-10 years. I'm terrified and I think he can tell because he won't leave my chest.

I am not one to ask for help, but there's no way I can afford this. I'm already planning on maxing out a credit card because I will do whatever it takes.

I know life is hard on every human being right now and pennies are getting harder and harder to spare. If there's any way you would be willing/able to help us or you could send this to someone else who might be able to, thank you. That falls short, but there are no words to truly express our gratitude.

Here is the surgery estimate if you're someone who likes hard numbers. The $400 difference is due to sending the mass away after surgery to make sure they have clear margins on the healthy tissue and all the cancer has been removed.
