My name is Debbie and I have started this GoFundMe for my dear friends that are going through pure hell with false accusations and they really need our help for their precious grandson. Last year we found out that our daughter was going to make us a first time Nonna and Pop Pop.

Over the following 9 months we helped the daughter we raised and her husband prepare for their bundle of joy as much as we could from half way across the US. Closer to time for her to give birth, we packed up our lives and flew to support this new family and see this miracle brought into the world. Little did we know at this time the horror that would come just 5 weeks later. 

2 weeks after leaving Texas for my grandsons birth I regretfully went back home to prepare life for my daughter and grandson to move home, while her husband was to be deployed overseas for 12 months. 3 weeks later all of life came crashing down on us. My daughter and her husband were concerned over popping noises coming from our grandsons chest while feeding him, so they took him to the ER. After a workup with physicians, they confirmed this baby had fractures! My daughter and son in law were shocked, knowing that nothing had caused this child harm, they knew something was dreadfully wrong!!! While concern over their child mounted, the hospital contacted Child Welfare Services and law enforcement. They went from concerned parents to suspects in a matter of minutes. We were contacted by child welfare that we had to come to the state of Texas before my grandson was released from the hospital and placed in foster care.

We packed up our lives in Georgia and were there with minutes to spare. Over the past 8 weeks we have cared for this child day and night, while trying to emotionally support my daughter and son in law and find out what is wrong with our grandson. We have jumped through every hoop that Family Children Services has thrown at us, to be accused as well of trying to hurt this baby!!! In a matter of 8 weeks we have spent more than $41,000 in travel, attorney fees, and medical expenses that aren’t covered by insurance to keep from losing this baby to foster care. 

We are now looking at more medical expenses and travel costs that insurance will not cover while having to also travel back and forth home for our own doctor visits.

The baby is not allowed to go with us to Georgia so we are having to travel individually at separate times. Trying to keep up our home in Georgia and temporary home in Texas.

We haven’t ever been in a position to need financial help before but the unforeseen circumstances have made this impossible to navigate alone.

All donations will go towards travel and medical expenses.
