Dear Kind-hearted Friends and Supporters,

Thirteen years ago, Chaz was diagnosed with stage four brain cancer. After two brain surgeries, surviving radiation and chemotherapy, months of physical therapy learning to walk again. He fought and won his battle on cancer. However, this battle took a toll on his health and resources. Chaz was placed on social security disability as he battled the aftermath of his illness, a move that was essential for his survival.

As a child, Chaz's grandparents gifted him a modest $1500 mutual fund with the dream of supporting his higher education. Over the years, the fund fluctuated, sometimes reaching slightly over $2000 and then fluctuating under once again. Unbeknownst to Chaz, this financial roller coaster would take an unexpected turn.

In an unfortunate twist of fate, the rules governing social security disability benefits state that assets must not exceed $2000. Despite having no direct access to these funds, the government alleged that Chaz had exceeded this limit, leading to an unjust law suit against him by the government for $18,000. To fight for his rights, Chaz spent $4000 on legal fees, Only to lose his case. Today he finds himself burdened with a debt of $22,000.

This young man works from 6am to 11am at a grocery store then come home for one hour and goes to work as a concierge at a high rise from 1pm to 9pm. He can barely get by working two jobs. This is so wrong and we need to help him. He has been through so much already. This will take his future away after beating cancer.

After surviving a battle with cancer and struggling to make ends meet, Chaz deserves more than a life overshadowed by an unjust financial burden.

Today, we ask for your support to rewrite Chaz's story. Your donation, regardless of size, will not only relieve his debt but also gift him the chance he deserves: a life without the burden of unjust financial hardship. We are so grateful for your support. Chaz deserves a fair chance in life after everything he has been through. He has been devastated by this judgement against him. Together, we can be the light at the end of his tunnel.

Any funds raised above the needed amount will be donated to Tampa's Children's Cancer Center and Make a Wish Tampa Bay.
