Saving Caillou
Hi my name is Kimberly Jones. Our precious little munchkin Caillou fell sick recently with Leptospirosis! If your dog is not vaccinated for it GO GET THEM VACCINATED, we did not know and wish we had! We hope in addition to saving our little Caillou, his story will also help save others!
He is at Access Animal Hospital putting up a fight to save his life. Unfortunately this disease hits the kidneys of a dog and it hits them hard.
In order to save his life we need to keep him in the hospital continuing to get fluids. With continued hospital care, Caillou has a really good chance of beating back this virus and his kidenys can then regenerate. If that does not work, and we are praying it will not come to this, we can still save him by getting dialysis for his kidneys. My fiance and I are doing everything in our power to fund his medical bills, to keep him going, but the longer he is there the more we are realizing we need help paying for his survival! Caillou has been in the hospital since Sunday when we found out his kindeys were failing and he had been there ever since fighting this horrible disease off with all his puppy might!
Caillou is literally the best dog in the whole world. He has such a kind and loving presence! He is my joy every morning when I wake up and he makes people smile and laugh wherever he goes. He is truly a piece of my heart and soul! I am begging anyone out there with anything to give, please help me save my best friend.
I have always been an overally anxious person. Many times before Caillou entered my life I would get so swept up in the little things, anxious and losing sleep over what did not matter, but Caillou has taught me every day to make love the most important thing. A morning cuddle with him wrapped at my feet reminds me that love is the most important thing in the world and all the rest of it is just details. His fury coat is a place I have had the priviledge of resting my teary face whenever I need a reminder that life is good and beautiful.
Caillou is our family and we are trying to do all that we can to fight for our beautiful boy!
