Hi, my name is Cherie and I am fundraising to save my cat Button's leg. Now I for one am not one to ask for help, but i am at a loss and so I am turning to you good people of the world to help me if you can.
Buttons is my 12 year old cat who I have had since she was born to her mum Cookie.
She's a sassy little madam with a mind of her own which i adore about her.
On Tuesday 17th June, I found Buttons lying in a bush just outside our house. She wouldn't move. I knew something was wrong. I got her to the vets where x-rays have revealed she has dislocated her stifle. The vets at Rowe have recommended surgery to fix this but at a cost between £4000 - £4500.
She is insured but only to the cost of £2000, £1200 of which has already been used on the x-rays and medication.
My only other option would be to amputate the leg, but I do not think she would cope on 3 legs.
If we can't find the money for surgery, our only other option would be to have her pts, as we just don't have the funds to cover everything. She's only 12 and has so much life left in her, plus i don't think i could lose another one of my furbabies so soon after losing my last one only last October so suddenly.
If we can secure funds they will 100% be used for her surgery and saving her leg. If there was anything left over it would be given to a local rescue to help more cats in need.
Anyone who knows me knows how much I love cats and what they mean to me, they are my world and I do everything I can by them.
If you have got this far, thank you for reading my beautiful girls story, and if you can donate just a little we would be eternally grateful. I know everyone is in the same boat and struggling, and I hate asking, but I do not want to give up on her!
Thank you on behalf of Button's and I x
