I need help raising money for my precious 14 year old senior cat, Boots. She has Jaundice and I can’t get her treated until she does tests and find the cause, which costs upwards to $400. Read below about Boots’ and my story on how we became best friends!

Boots first entered my life when I was 6 years old and has changed it ever since. We adopted her from one of my parents coworkers along with her brother, princess. When the two first came home to us Princess took a liking to all of us, but Boots was very skiddish and did not like to be pet. She kept to herself and hid in my parent’s home office, where she would only come out to eat, drink, and would refused to be touched.

One day when I was at school Boots and Princess escape

d into the great outdoors, where Boots began to blossom as a cat. They lived outside for a few years going on adventures with each other but hung around home where she would great us afterschool every day by meowing and rubbing up to me and my siblings. She enjoyed outdoor life and honestly I think a part of her still belongs out in the wilderness. Princess eventually passed away one day while out on his last adventure and never came home, leaving Boots behind.

When I turned twelve, me and Boots moved up the street into my grandmothers old home. Boots decided she wanted to become an indoor cat again, ever since we have been roommates and have loved each other even more. Despite not liking to be pet, after every shower I took she would come and rub against my legs and cuddle me. She would meow and talk to me while I gave her treats, we became best friends.

Until recently, this year, Boots has gotten sick and has progressively gotten worse. She started hiding a lot more, has lost wieght, her coat is duller, joints achier, and her eyes are always dilated. Her bathroom habits have become a lot worse, going outside the litter box because of her pain. I took her to the vet where they confirmed to me she has jaundice and fluid in her stomach.

She is 14 years old now, and is declining. There is a possibility she could get treatment for her illness but to find out what’s wrong with her she needs to have tests done, which costs upwards to $400.

I love my best friend and every plan I have made in the future has had her in it. She used to be the sweetest, kindest, loving girl until she became ill. I do not know how much time I have left with her and I am begging for help. I thought I’d at least get 2 to 3 more years with her until I would have to say good bye. I love her so much and my love for her grows everyday, she is still that baby I first met all those years ago.

My family is already living on a tight budget. Please help me save my best friend.
