Help Bill & Jan Kerr's Cats After Their Deaths
Donation protected
My name is Mark Easton. I’ve been working with and raising money to help veterans for over 30+ years. I have a unique situation I’m asking your help with to raise money to help this veteran’s family.
Bill Kerr is a triple Purple Heart Vietnam veteran who recently passed away due to various illnesses. Bill was a very kind and generous man and vowed to do everything he could to help stray cats . He and his wife Jan ran a fishing lure business for years in pawleys island SC . Most of their proceeds were directed to fostering and caring for numerous cats. Bill loved cats and so did his wife Jan. Last week Jan also passed away unexpectedly of a stroke and fall. Both Bill and Jan’s wish was to find someone to care for their beloved cats if anything happened to them.
As of today many neighborhood friends and families have been working to find a way to grant thier wish. The problem is that we’ve contacted all the area animal shelters and organizations and they can’t take anymore cats due to over capacity.
Great news, my wife and several friends have found a woman who volunteers with a non profit rescue for cats in Buffalo NY who’s mission is to take care of cats of deceased families. The will not say no to cats who's owner has passed away! She’s willing to take all 20 cats and make sure the Kerr’s wishes are granted and the cats are cared for and placed in good homes. Please note that all of the cats have been spay or neutered.
I’ve also agreed to donate my time and assets and so has another veteran named Jim.
However, we will need to provide transportation and fuel for the 1500 plus round trip drive from Pawleys Island, SC to Buffalo, NY to deliver the cats safely. This will take us several days. In addition, we’ll need to make sure all cats vaccinations are updated, feed them and provide cat etc. We would also like to provide funding for the non profit organization to support and care for them until they get placed.
Many people are doing many things to honor Bill and Jan’s wishes . We still need more help. Please help us by donating what you can to honor their wishes to help find homes and care for their beloved cats .
100% of all money raised will go to this worthy cause. I will provide photos and updates of our upcoming successful mission.
Gods bless .. Mark
