Hi, my name is Lilianna, and I’m fundraising for my rescue cat, Bean. She needs emergency surgery to remove a large abscess from her side. The vets have to cut out a big section of tissue, suction it, and place a drain. She’ll need monitoring and a long recovery and I might have to take time off work to care for her.
I’m only 18 and I work part-time at minimum wage while attending college full time. I rescued Bean and my two other cats from my abusive biological father’s house when I moved out at 15. Since then, they’ve been my family, my comfort, and the reason I’ve kept going through a lot of dark times. I take full responsibility for their care, and I love them like they’re my children.
This situation is especially hard because I just went through another emergency surgery for one of my other cats a few months ago when she was attacked. My other cat also needs expensive care and bloodwork because she has epilepsy. The other surgery already drained most of my savings, and now this is happening all over again. I hate asking for help, especially twice in one year, but back-to-back vet emergencies have really stretched me beyond what I can afford on my own.
The estimate for Bean’s surgery is over $1,300 which is more than what I make in two weeks working full-time. I’m applying to every grant and doing everything I can, but I still need help to get her the care she needs.
If you’re able to donate or even just share this, it would mean the world to me. Thank you so much for reading and caring.
