I am Leonie David from Charmhaven NSW and I want to raise funds to extend the duration and quality of life for my wonderful husband Bayne (65yo).
Bayne was diagnosed with Prostate cancer in 2008 and has been battling cancer since then. He has undergone recommended stock standard mainstream medical procedures of hormone therapy, brachytherapy and radiation followed by more hormone therapy - a 'curative' treatment we were assured.
Specialists advised that he has had his lifetime doses of radiation and a number of medical treatments are now not suitable as side effects in the long term are likely to cause extreme debilitating side effects.
Since 2012 he has been using natural healing therapies, nutritional support and in 2017, Integrated medical treatments through a Qld clinic. These internationally accepted therapies successfully slowed the cancer progression for Bayne. The treatments included local and whole-body Hyperthermia treatments, high-dose intravenous (IV) Vitamin C, IV Sodium Bicarbonate and IV Artemesia extract as part of a whole suite of treatments taken. Time and resources limited the treatment durations and the therapies do not attract a Medicare Rebate nor are covered by our medical insurance.
In Febuary this year, a body scan using radioisotopes showed that the cancer has reactivated and spread to the bone, pelvic lymph and seminal vesicles as summarised below:
'PSMA avid locoregional recurrence in the seminal vesicles and metastatic lymphadenopathy left pelvis and skeletal metastasis left femur. Dictated by: Dr Denis Gradinscak - 23 February 2021'.
These diagnostics show that more treatment is advisable and as soon as possible.
Our only option now and as quickly as possible, before it gets a stronger hold is to recommence this treatment where the benefits were there to be seen. We are planning to start initial treatments by mid-May 2021 and as intensive as is safe. Funds raised will be going to treatment costs only. We will cover transport and accommodation as affordably as we can.
While we have saved some money towards his treatment there is an urgent need to raise another $15000 to get additional sustained treatments.
Our family, and I continue our prayers and I have faith and trust in the good, that we will have the funds for his further treatment so he will not die a miserable, painful death. We need to get through this so he will be with us for many more years to come - this kind and funny man, with a beautiful Soul who is so loved and especially so for our little grandson who adores him.
To those who donate, you will have our deep and heartfelt thanks and gratitude.
