Hi! I am Charlotte Lutz (Char Ann). Most of you have seen Bagheeras story on facebook. He's a Cane Corso-Armenian Gampher that is approximately 3 years old. On January 16, 2023 he was found on the side of the road in Victorville Ca on Bear Valley Road between Salem Road and Verbena Road. We've made several attempts to locate his owners but have been unsuccessful. We had called Animal Control but due to what they consider a remote location there was an issue between the city and the county on who was responsible. The city finally said they would "try" and come that day if not tomorrow. According to witnesses he had been on the side of the road in that spot for nearly a week in the rain and near freezing temps. It is suspected that Bagheera was/is a victim of animal cruelty but we will never know. He is a giant with a gentle soul. Despite all of his circumstances he has not snapped, growled, or snarled at any of us. His injuries include:

- dehydration & malnourishment

- an eye injury that was left untreated and is now an ulcer

- infections in both eyes

- a large gash across his nose (its now stapled)

- infected stitches from a home done ear crop

- a severely broken jaw that needs surgery asap

- he will also need to be neutered (at a later date)

Even with all of this going on he just wants to sit with someone, anyone and be petted. His survival depends on us and the donations he recieves. No amount is too small. He is a great dog that has lost hope. Please help me fix his jaw and fix his faith in humans. If we cant get this corrected in a timely manner he will likely be euthanized. The drs and staff have been so kind and are donating their time and a space for him as we speak. This is more than many vets would do! We've come so far... he hung on all week, we can do this for him! People let him down once... lets not do it again.
