Saving Baby Valley Spring

Donation protected

On Tuesday April 23rd, 2019, we received a call that an orphan foal was located in a roadway, still with it's afterbirth, and doing poorly with no mother in sight at a very remote location. We extracted the foal and took her immediately to Arizona Equine in Gilbert, where she received critical care for 24 hours including IGG assurance testing and plasma transfusion to address not having nursed colostrum, and severe malnutrition and dehydration. She was transported back to the rescue the following day, and continued to mildly improve with some failure to thrive. We transported again to Adobe Vet where Dr Reese prescribed the Madigan Squeeze Procedure. The first squeeze produced improvement, so we headed home and did another procedure at home two hours later. She is now up and nursing normally, but needs round the clock care and expensive formula for the best chance for success. Please consider donating. Her vet bills are paid, but it was quite a bit more than donations and we are spending about $100 a day to keep someone with her and maintain normal operations at the rescues. Please consider a tax deductible donation.
