I am Sarah, and I am desperately trying to raise our sweetheart cat Baby Chino.
I am pedantic about details, but now with no time to explain.
I have had Baby Chino at vets each day, since Thursday. Now Emergency care has nearly exhausted and we need to try specialist care for him.
Plainly, as a dedicated Social Worker, I thrived for many years on gratitude. Before I understood the world, I was a victim/survivor. I knew unconditional love from my Mum, and I am grateful.
Fortune had it the I survived, there is no rhyme or reason which can convince me that I am more worthy of this life than another.
I know a deep level of gratitude, but only in more recent times did I discover healing is a necessary process … and all coping skills fell out from underneath me. All the study, research, personal (caring for family and friends) and professional experience could not prepare me as my memories flooded me, I held strong as client stories or their children brought up my own.
I was unable to do anything to move through paralysing depression, terrifying panic attacks and sliding back in time lost in my childhood.
MY CAT SAVED ME - PLEASE HELP ME SAVE THE DARLING LIFE WHO SAVED ME.
I know this, despite dedicating my life with my children and vocation to refining my knowledge and skills with accurate empathy, compassion and ensuring all the power of all I have worked for.
My drive to further my education and skills is as mighty as is how much I underestimated how trauma wounds were woven into my being. How blind I was to my declining mental health, as I dedicated myself to countless courageous Victim/Survivor’s. owning my identity as Victim/Survivor. ‘Believing I could make it though didn’t help me to stay strong / it was the unwavering love of my Baby Chino.
Being Baby Chino’s human Mum paved my way through being able to care for him, care for me and care for my children, and move beyond,
