Saving Atlas: A Golden Heart Worth Fighting For
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Marshall, and I never imagined I'd be writing something like this.
Atlas is my 21-month-old golden retriever—and truly, my heart. He was a Christmas gift from my partner and family, given during a chapter of my life when I needed something good, something grounding. From day one, he's been my constant companion, my joy, and my reminder that love—pure and steady—still shows up when you need it most.
A few weeks ago, Atlas started having trouble breathing. What we hoped was a respiratory infection turned into a devastating diagnosis: lymphoma. After emergency vet visits, imaging, and fluid drained from his chest, his cancer was confirmed based on how powerfully he responded to initial treatment. The good news? He's responded incredibly well. The hard news? We're now at a turning point.
The most effective treatment is a CHOP chemotherapy protocol that offers real hope for remission and good quality of life. But it comes with a heavy cost: upwards of $8,000 over several months. I've done everything I can on my own & with insurance, but I need help to keep giving Atlas the best chance to keep fighting and living the full, joyful life he deserves.
Every dollar raised will go directly to his care: chemotherapy, medications, and follow-up treatments. If you're able to give, thank you from the bottom of my heart. If you can and will share this, thank you just as much. And if you've ever loved a dog like family—you already understand.
With love and deep gratitude,
Marshall & Atlas
