Amando Uribe, a food truck owner who lives in Stamford, CT, was involved in a tragic accident which paralyzed his lower body, feeling nothing from the waist down. He was taken to the Stamford emergency center for urgent treatment. Since then, the doctors and nurses were able to keep his pain under control but spinal fusion surgery was definitely needed to reconstruct his shattered spinal area to provide immediate stability. Other injuries include broken ribs and hip fracture.
My father doesn't have insurance to cover all his medical expense and for rehabilitation, but with the help of his social worker and the hospital, there is a chance that this isn't going to be a huge medical bill we will face.
I have talked to the social worker and she said the best thing we can do is to raise money just for the rehabilitation which will cost about 65,000 dollars, which basically covers everything. This is very important to ensure that he gets the best treatment for spinal rehabilitation.
It would be nice to have this fund as soon as possible. Within a couple of months to a year.
Donating would mean a lot to us, especially when a man has goals. One day the family wanted to get a better food truck and one day own a family restaurant here in Stamford, CT. He still wants to do that and every dollar counts toward his recovery at the hospital.

Because amando is the hardest working man I know. With his outstanding creativity and kitchen experience, he wanted to be part of the food service industry and be loved by his customers to tasted his genuine, homemade food. His business is called Jefe’s Tacos N Grill, a brand new food truck located in Stamford, CT.
Currently he is now at the new haven hospital.
