Saving a hero, Donald

This isn’t easy to do.  Donald just turned one with his sister Daisy.  Last night at 9:40pm a raccoon got into the garage and attacked the ducks.  Daisy was unharmed, but Donald had his wing ripped and has suffered a compound fracture.  Unfortunately, his wing will not be repaired with just a brace and we were told amputation or surgery are the only way to (hopefully) save him.  Many are telling us to euthanize him, but we cannot, he’s part of the family.  Typically, I would never use this site for my own need, however, with our upcoming wedding, money is right now.  I ask for help to anyone who loves their animal(s) and would do the same.  The surgery could be anywhere from $700-$1000, I’m just not quite sure.  Right now he’s in a lot of pain, but on antibiotics and a pain med (which will run out in 24 hours).  I’m asking help to save Donald because he deserves it, he’s a great duck and a hero.  Thank you.
