I came across this sweet girl and I just can’t stop thinking about her. ❤️ She is a 16+ year-old Paint mare currently sitting in a kill pen in Texas, and she is pregnant with a 2027 foal. She is described as gentle and easy to be around, and although she was reportedly once broke to ride, she hasn’t been ridden in years. When I saw her, I knew I wanted to do everything I could to give her a chance. I’m working alongside Lucky Break Rescue to get her out of the kill pen and safely home with me where she can be cared for through her pregnancy and, hopefully, give birth to her baby in safety. Rescue comes with so many expenses.. from her bail, transportation, and vet care to feed, farrier care, and everything she and her baby will need along the way. I know we can’t save every horse, but when we have the opportunity to save one, I believe we should try. If you’re able to donate, even $5 or $10, it will help us get her one step closer to safety.
