In the heart of Gaza, these words ring truer than ever. My name is Abedalrahman Shamia, and I stand before you as a survivor of five wars, a healer as a dentist, and a dreamer as a software developer from Gaza. I've witnessed the devastating toll of these circumstances firsthand. And here, amidst the ruins, stands the memory of my beloved father, Maher.

Once, we were just a family of seven, living peacefully with love and warmth. But everything changed when conflict and despair invaded our lives. Living in Gaza meant dealing with constant conflicts, struggling with deprivation, and not having even the basics we needed to live. Life became incredibly hard, and even the simplest tasks felt impossible. Yet, despite of all the chaos and pain, we remained anchored by the bonds of our unity and the resilience of our resolve.

Until Six months ago, everything changed. Our once peaceful home was suddenly plunged into chaos and destruction. We were forced to flee, leaving behind everything we held dear. Since then, we've been lost, drifting through a world of uncertainty and despair. We left our severely damaged home with only a few belongings.

Since then, we've been displaced five times, moving from one place to another, and currently find ourselves displaced in Rafah. Each move brings with it new challenges and uncertainties, as we find our lives hanging in the balance with every passing minute.

And in the middle of all of this, there was one reason that kept us rooted in Gaza, our beloved father who was battling cancer. Despite the relentless conflict and unimaginable hardships, we stayed to care for him. His presence was our anchor in the storm.

But now, under the weight of injustice and cruelty, he has been taken from us. His passing, under such unjust conditions, has left our souls shattered. There is no reason left to stay in this place of endless suffering, where even the most basic rights are denied.

Our hearts bleed with the injustice of it all. We were ready to brave any storm to keep our family intact, to offer solace and support to our father in his hour of desperation.

With each passing day, our desperation grows deeper, our burdens heavier. We need your help to break free from this cycle of suffering, to rebuild our shattered dreams, to pave the way to a brighter future, and to reunite us with our family. In what used to be an ordinary day, everything changed. The sound of warplanes could be heard from a distance, but we never imagined that this sound would bring destruction to our lives. Our beautiful city, once bustling with life, has now become a pile of rubble. In a moment, we lost everything.

The homes where we spent the best moments of our lives are now just memories buried under the debris. Our neighbors, who were like family to us, some lost their lives in this destruction, and others are still struggling to survive under these harsh conditions.

We live without electricity, without water, and without the security we once took for granted. Our parents stand in long lines to get a little water and food, and the hope in their eyes diminishes day by day. Life here has become a constant struggle for survival.
