Help us save Culdees Castle from ruin

We are Tracey and Rob, the current custodians of Culdees Castle. We purchased the historic Scottish Castle in 2019 with a goal to save it from ruin and get the crumbling building off the at-risk register. We have already set up a glamping site within the grounds and have started to create a wedding business to help fund the castle renovations. Rob still works full time and the whole family have worked tirelessly over the past three years to restore the building. We have a great social media following and have featured in the broad sheets and even on the Channel4 show, Renovation Nation. Every single penny is spent on the Castle, whether it be a nail, a roofing slate or new timber. Every donation, no matter how big or small, has its place and will help us renovate for the local community, the local area, Scotland, the UK and our history and heritage.

Sadly, we are in a position where the roof of the east wing is now beyond repair and needs replacing. We simply do not have the funds to do this and after all of our hard work and working 7 days a week, its heart breaking. This is why we are asking for financial support to help us replace the roof and save this beautiful historic building for good.

Funding us will make a real difference to this castle’s future. We do most of the work ourselves so all funds will go straight into urgent roof works and the assistance will save this castle once and for all and allow us to forge ahead with internal works. Everyone that helps us, whether tradesmen or volunteers, leaves with a sense of pride that they have, in some way, ensured that this castle does not fall further into ruin.
