Save Ziggy the Kitty Stardust

Donation protected
On Friday, August 26, Ziggy was rushed to the emergency pet hospital after uncontrollable vomiting and lethargy. On the drive to the vet, his breathing started to slow down and he grew weaker and weaker by the minute. When we arrived at the hospital they completed x-rays and discovered that Ziggy was suffering from a urethral obstruction, a life-threatening blockage of the urinary tract. Immediately he was put under anesthesia and the vet performed life-saving surgery to stop Ziggy’s organs from failing. Ziggy is still currently at Cahuenga Veterinary Hospital where he will be intensely monitored and administered hourly medication.

Ziggy the Kitty Stardust is my registered emotional support animal and is quite literally the best thing that has ever happened to me. I adopted him from a shelter in 2019 when he was only 3 months old. Ziggy came into my life at one of my lowest points and when I needed a friend most. I took him everywhere with me. He accompanied me to my classes, to run errands, and was always by my side. 3 years later and Ziggy has truly changed my life. It’s unbelievable how much a little cat manages to brighten up my day and help with severe depression with just his gentle nudges and soft-spoken meows. He knows the very moments when I am sad and will snuggle up next to me, unprompted. Ziggy is by far one of the most emotionally intelligent animals I have ever met–I swear I’m not biased!

Ziggy is not just a cat, he’s family. He has created unbreakable bonds with many, especially his best friend Kubo the cat! Ziggy is truly one of a kind, even so-called “cat haters” have claimed that while they don’t like cats, they somehow love Ziggy. That’s how special this baby is. As of right now, his operation alongside the long list of necessary treatments is coming out to thousands of dollars. While Ziggy is so loved, I, unfortunately, do not have anywhere near the means to cover these unexpected vet bills. Ziggy means the world to me and still has so many years of life ahead of him. I greatly appreciate any contributions that can be made to help save this angel’s life. Thank you so much.

Much love,

Clarissa and friends
