Save Historic Building on LC Square
Donation protected
I have created this page to help pay for a new drainage system in the alley way between my building and 3 others that left untreated is structurally damaging my historic property built in 1897. I have absolutely no control over these outside factors.
I am the owner and operator of The Art Teacher's Studio located in the historic zone of the Fayetteville, TN square. I have almost experienced a mental breakdown over the destruction to my building, interior property, cancelling of classes, loss of revenue and the inability to do anything about it.
Engineers have a plan that can fix the issue beginning with repairing all the broken gutters and downspouts in the alley way and creating an outlet for the water to make it out to the city street. Again, all factors completely beyond my control.
My studio provides a creative outlet to my small town and we do a GREAT deal of fundraising for locals in need. The possibility of my studio closing due to this is a very real possibility if the alley way remains BROKEN and IGNORED and allowed to remain as it is.......................it is literally killing my building, my heart and body.
I cannot continue to sit and wait for the problem to be delegated. My building is dying and mentally I am falling apart. Any donations would be greatly appreciated, this is so humbling but I don't know what else to do!
The state of TN reps and State of TN Historic Society told me that I must seek legal representation. Not only do I not want to do this............I simply cannot afford it.
The following video documents the damage. Please watch.
