SAVE the Almonte Ag Hall!!
Donation protected
The North Lanark Agricultural Society is a charitable organization that is run by volunteers. There are a number of heritage buildings on the NLAS fairgrounds, located on the banks of the Mississippi River in Almonte, Ontario.
Our beloved Agricultural Hall is a historical landmark that was built in 1869. The hall plays a vital role in our community. This building receives numerous compliments on its acoustics and hardwood floors. Through the years, the hall has hosted a variety of events such as the annual Almonte Fair, fundraisers, wedding receptions, Highland Games and BusFusion.
Unfortunately, the exterior boards have deteriorated and water is penetrating through the walls affecting the interior. The roof is also in need of some TLC.
As an organization run solely by volunteers, we are in need of financial help. The interior of the hall will be in need of repair in the years to come, in order to continue to operate. Any help you can give, is much appreciated in helping to save this historical building.
