Save Terri's House

Right now, we are two mortgage payments behind, and we are still paying off three years of emergency visits to the hospital for my daughter Haley's epilepsy. This has been compounded by my husband Jon being unable to work regularly for the last nine months because Haley cannot be left home alone until she has better seizure control. There is hope on the horizon; she has a new neurologist who is a specialist in epilepsy, but it has still only been six weeks since her last seizure.

The most difficult thing about her seizures is that she doesn't just have one; she has cluster seizures. This means that, in the past, she would have one seizure, directly followed by another, and another, if she was not transported to the hospital to stop them. Her new epileptologist has given her a booster medication and emergency medicine, which enabled us to treat her last seizure at home and stop further ones, but we don't know how long this medicine will still be effective. We are still hopeful that it will continue to work.

Working from home, Jon also has created three sculptures which are available for purchase, and he is working on a fourth one. Photos of these works of art and his contact information are here at his Instagram.
