Hi, my name is Teddy! I love treats, playing with my toys and, most of all, I love my Mommy and my Sissy more than anything! :) Even though I have only had one Birthday and I'm still a puppy, my doctor has diagnosed me with a very serious blood disease called IMHA (Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia) and my young body is attacking it's own red blood cells.
One week ago, I was a happy, normal puppy but on Wednesday I couldn't even get out of bed to follow Mommy everywhere, which is my favorite thing to do! I have been in the ICU at my local vet hospital since June 7th and have needed 2 blood transfusions and round-the-clock care to keep me alive. The first day, the doctor told Mommy and Daddy that there was a 50% chance that I would never make it home to be with my family again!
I am fighting as hard as my puppy body can and I know my family is doing everything they can to give me a chance to live a full life, but we need YOUR help!! My vet bills for the care I need are already over $8,500 and climbing every day.
