On December 12th, 2019 Taylor's life changed forever. Taylor received a phone call no 25 year old is ever prepared for, you have breast cancer. These simple words flipped her world upside-down. Initial diagnostics made it seem like it wasn't that bad and she had an "easier" road ahead as it was initially thought to be Stage I. Over the last month, with numerous amounts of test and scans, her disease went from a Stage I diagnosis to a Stage III. Taylor has spent hours meeting with her amazing team of doctors discussing her treatment plan and her future endeavors. Taylor will start her initial chemotherapy treatment on Monday January 20th, 2020. That day will forever be marked in her memory as it will be the first day of 5 month long life saving regimen.

As many know, Taylor is a super humble and giving person. She has spent a big chunk of her life fundraising and working with cancer. In High School, she planned and carried out numerous events to support wig making for cancer patients. She has also grown out and donated her own hair for programs that specialize in wig making for cancer patients. In college, Taylor continued her passion by working as an ambassador for Love Your Melon, a program that started out by making hats for children going thorough cancer treatments. As of today, Taylor has worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator on the Hematology Team at Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin for the past two years. Working in cancer day in and day out, Taylor observes her patients daily struggles and is a witness to the live saving treatments her center can provide. Throughout this entire process, Taylor has remained strong and positive. Taylor is a selfless person who will never ask for help. With her medical bills already accruing in the thousands, this GoFundMe is here to help alleviate some of the stress throughout her journey.

Taylor has embraced her journey and has started a blog. I ask that everyone take a moment to download the app (CaringBridge) or visit the website as a way follow Taylor along on her journey.
