Too many people believe that Baltimore City is irreparably damaged. Violent crime increases in our streets and children have stopped dreaming.
Last year, Freddie Gray protestors from East Baltimore walking west and protestors from West Baltimore walking east met in front of our church, turned south on St. Paul and cried out to city officials. Seventh Metro Church is strategically located in the geographical heart of Baltimore City.
Seventh has been helping people since 1845, and we are STILL committed to helping people.
As you probably know by now, our small but dedicated congregation is at risk of being kicked out of the building. In short, aging pipes and leaks created an unusually large water bill in excess of $6,000. Baltimore City converted the waterbill into a property tax, attached the unpaid bill to the church property as a lien, and sold the debt to an out of state investor. Seeking 18 % interest compounded daily, the investor has filed an action to foreclose on our church if we do not pay his original investment, plus interests and legal fees.

THE GOOD NEWS IS that we can still stop that from happening, but we need your support.
Our goal is to raise $15,000 which will cover the cost of the unpaid water bills, legal fees, immediate repairs, and the percentage gofundme will deduct from what we raise.
Our plan is to redeem the building and mobilize an advisory team of local developers, universities and organizational leaders. Your support will help us secure the location of Baltimore City's First Center City Arts Academy. We will help hurting people to find their voice and tell their stories..
