Save Sasha's Heart (in turn saving Michelle's too)
Donation protected
If anyone knows one thing about Michelle it is her immense love for her family and friends. Her fur babies, Sasha and Coco are the loves of her life. She would move heaven and earth for them, and that is exactly what she is doing. Poor Sasha needs a mitral valve repair of her heart. She is Stage C of the disease, and it is progressive. There is no cure, and MVD is common among these small breed dogs. There is a beautiful group Mighty Hearts https://mightyheartsproject.org/, where I learned that this surgery is an option. Unfortunately, only three veterinarians in the world successfully perform this surgery, 2 in the UK and 1 in Japan. As you can imagine, this endeavor is extraordinarily costly. The surgery is a huge expense (surgery, ICU, hospital stay 7-10 days); however, you have to stay in London for 3 weeks (barring any complications) before it is safe to fly home. This was a tough decision for Michelle, and what ultimately gave her the reassurance she needed to make the best decision was that the surgery would be performed on her father's birthday. She knows her dad in heaven had all the hands in making this come to fruition. Michelle is my best friend, and she would never in a million years reach out to anyone for help. That is why I (Shea) am doing so for her. Every little bit counts toward this journey for Sasha and Michelle. If you feel inclined to donate to help Michelle during this difficult emotional, physical, and financial journey, I know she and Sasha would be eternally grateful. Thank you!
