Save Puna: A fundraiser for life saving treatment

On January 4, we adopted Puna and his sister Kona from the Little Lion Foundation. They both are rescues and have been inseparable. Puna is a flame point siamese and unlike any cat I’ve had in my life. He is everything I could ever hope to be in a cat. Affectionate, well behaved, playful, brave, adventurous, a lap cat and a total cuddle bug. He’s only 5 months old and we’re not ready to give up on him but we need your help to save his life. Over the course of a week, Puna stopped eating regularly, lost interest in playing and became lethargic. On March 25, Puna was diagnosed with Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP), a devastating and nearly always fatal disease of cats which arises from a mutation of the common feline coronavirus (FECV) which infects 40-80% of cats worldwide. Puna was given 2 months to live. We won't accept this death sentence and we are going to fight for him. Fortunately, there is hope with a new treatment option (Mutian) shown to be a safe and effective treatment with a 80.6% success rate. However, the cost of this medicine beyond the means that our household can afford. I understand we are all dealing with our own financial problems during this time of uncertainty, but absolutely anything can help Puna survive.
