Animal Control of Orange County NC demanded I hand Peanut over. They are saying possible rabies and I need to have her quarantined at an approved vet/boarding at my expense.
I'm beside myself with grief, I' m not sure how I'll do this and the only other option they gave me was to put her to sleep.
This is Peanut, well I call her Peanut. She was at the Stick Marsh in Brevard county Florida and had been laying on the hard, blistering hot asphalt parking lot. I tried for hours to get her to move and after a couple attempts we got her into the back of my car.
At first we thought her leg was broken but after getting her to an ER vet it was determined she was gored by a wild pig.
I'm cleaning her wound as instructed by the vet and giving her antibiotics. I also want to get her shots.
I just want her happy, that's the only thing that matters to me.
