WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?

TO RAISE MONEY FOR A KIDNEY TRANSPLANT

FOR WHO?
WIFE AND MOTHER OF THREE, PATTY BOWMAN
AT THE MOMENT SHE HAS A POTENTIAL DONOR WHO LIVES IN CALIFORNIA BUT WE HAVE TO PAY FOR HER TRAVEL EXPENSES, TAKING OFF OF WORK DAYS, HOSPITAL FEES, ETC. SO MY FRIEND (kelsey peterjohn) AND I ARE TRYING TO RAISE MONEY TO MAKE THE SURGERY AS SMOOTH AS POSSIBLE (for both my mom and the donor who is willing to travel to san antonio 3 times in order to give my mom her kidney)
A LITTLE ABOUT ME:
I am a recent Graduate from school with a BFA: Acting Degree from the Guthrie Program. I am a lover of comedy. Why cry when you can laugh?! I grew up in San Antonio, Texas and am a Devout Christian.
A LITTLE ABOUT KELSEY:
She graduated from the Guthrie BFA:Actor Training Program with me and has been by my side since day one four years ago. She is from Chanhassen, Minnesota and has been a co-creator in this entire process of creating a kidney mini-series.
A LITTLE ABOUT MY MOMMY:
She is 44 years old. After my youngest sister was born, she was diagnosed with Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes (yes, it can happen). In 2004, she was hospitalized for a month with a brain tumor that the doctors said was terminal and "there is no way she can survive this"-God intervened and when they went in to do the surgery the tumor went from the size of a golf ball to the size of a walnut. A few years after that, she broke both her legs and later finding out this only happened because she had the diabetic foot disease called 'Charcot' (a disease that causes the nerves in your feet to die). Then last summer, she just had toes removed!
But besides all that health stuff, she is a kind, beautiful, christian southern belle who deserves a second chance to survive. She deserves a second chance at life!
