Hello friends!
My name is Chimmy, I guess like chimichanga? Who knows, everyone just calls me The Chim.
I am a rescue dog and I'm getting up in years - just about 8 now (but don't tell my mom that, she thinks I'm going to be 3 forever). I am very active and go with my people everywhere, to bars and cafes and parks and I even make sure they stay healthy by making them take me on walks and runs.
I enjoy going to the dog park and sniffing everything and then peeing on it. I love pets from everyone, but especially kids because they are right at eye level and sometimes I lick them on the face.
Anyway, the reason I have this GoFundMe is because I have recently developed a big lumpy mess on my shoulder/armpit area. I went to the vet and got a lot of bloodwork done and thankfully it is not cancerous or impeding my health in any way - but it's starting to affect my mobility and it's getting bigger. I want to be able to go places for a long time so I have to get it removed. I don't know what surgery is, because I'm a dog, but my mom is worried about how much it is going to cost.
Any little bit helps!
Update 12/31/15:
This campaign was originally fully funded at $1200 in November of 2014. Since then we've had other dog-related expenses and even another surgery, but we were able to cope with the support of family, friends, and supporters of my art.
Unfortunately we end 2015 on a rather low note as the poor Lumper is going to need extensive (and probably expensive) surgeries in the upcoming year. His masses grow quickly and are difficult to remove, but are a mystery to the vets working with him. This most current round of growths is not able to be operated on by his current vet as the mass wraps around under his armpit.
He continues to be light-hearted, active, fun, silly, and above all A Butt throughout everything. He has never lost his spirit. He is the world to those who know and love him. He means everything to me and I will continue to try to help him through any means necessary for as long as I am physically able.
