For years now, I've been a big fan of Generation 4 My Little Pony. Sadly, I feel that G4 has been done a disservice in recent years. The ninth and final season of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic was defined by horribly contrived, sloppy, inconsistent writing, and the media that's since built on it hasn't helped. To make matters worse, the Equestria Girls spin-off series was canceled without getting a real finale of its own, and many popular, quality G4 toys and merchandise have been discontinued.

In light of this, I created the Save My Little Pony fan campaign. Its goal is to convince Hasbro, Inc. and their partners to give G4 another chance and a better ending. This would include partially revising and re-releasing Season 9 of FiM and all relevant subsequent content; continuing and properly concluding EG; rebooting popular discontinued G4 products and making new ones that appeal to consumers and complement the aforementioned new media.

I've set up this fundraiser as one of several strategies to ensure Save MLP's success. I need to raise money so I can buy stock from Hasbro and submit what my fellow campaigners and I want in a shareholder proposal. According to SEC guidelines, I must continuously hold at least $2,000 in company assets for three years; $15,000 for two years; and $25,000 for one year before I can submit my proposal, though I will need more when considering fluctuating stock prices and returns as well as brokerage fees and taxes. Raising these higher amounts may be unrealistic, but hopefully I can make up the difference from whatever returns I earn as a shareholder when I buy stocks.

I ask my fellow Save MLP campaigners and anyone else who wants a revival and a new ending for G4 to donate as much as you can to this fundraiser, as often as you can. We may not get all the money needed from this fundraiser alone, but any amount you can chip in, no matter how small, will help in the long run. If this succeeds, we’ll all finally get to enjoy all the new and revised media and new and rebooted products for G4 that we’ve been asking for, and I’ll be grateful to all of you, my friends.
