Save Mason’s Donkey
Once upon a time in a land not far away, there was a little farm full of donkeys. The farmers loved to have visitors to share how wonderful their donkeys were with the world. A young man, Mason Minkler, was one of those visitors, and he fell in love with the donkeys.

The farm wanted to help more donkeys by becoming a rescue and adoption center, and Mason wanted to help too. For his 7th birthday, he decided to ask for donations to help the donkeys, instead of gifts for himself.

The farmers were so amazed and overwhelmed at young Mason’s sweet and generous gesture, that they decided the next donkey that came to them needing help would be Mason’s donkey. Mason will get to name his donkey, visit his donkey anytime while it’s here, and have final approval on the donkey’s new caretaker when that time comes.

Most new donkeys to the little farm are older boys called “Jacks”, and since the farm doesn’t want any baby donkeys, the boys have to be fixed. They also usually have never had any vaccinations and are in need of having their hooves trimmed and dental work. Mason only wants the best for his donkey, and hopes to raise money for the following:
Gelding: $375: This covers the surgery, sedation, pain meds, and antibiotics.
Vaccinations: $50. This covers rabies and what is called a Spring 7 way, which just about covers everything we could be worried about out here.
Hoof Trimming: $120 total. $50 for the initial trim and $35 for 2 subsequent trims.
Microchip: $25. A safety measure so Mason never loses track of his donkey in case it gets stolen or lost.
Floating (teeth): $135. Yes, donkeys need annual dentistry just like people. But unlike people, they get very sharp points on their teeth that can cause painful sores in the donkeys mouth. Their teeth need to be filed yearly to keep that from happening, and to allow the donkey to chew it’s food.
Feed, hay, wormer, and salt/mineral block: $225 for three months (the expected time Mason's donkey will live at the little farm)
Fees associated with GoFundMe: $60
Daily care, housing, and training will be covered by the farmers. Can you help with the rest? Mason wants his donkey to live “Happily Ever After” and is so appreciative of your help!
