Operation save mom
Donation protected
In September 2015, my sister and I found out that our mother, our light, our world, had stage 4 colon cancer, and that it was spreading to her organs rather quickly. Our mom maintained a full time job, including over-time, until it simply became too tall of an order, as her body was not responding well to the chemotherapy treatments. We learned in February, approximately one month after the chemotherapy began and did appear to be helpful, that she had developed a rather severe infection. Constant trips in and out of the hospital for days, sometimes weeks at a time, caused her to miss work more than she was able to attend. Now, as of May 1 2016, she is on disability and simply does not have access to the same quality medical care. Our wish is to raise enough capital to pay for intravenous Vitamin C therapy, as ultimately, this is our last chance for her. Any little bit will help. Our mother is the strongest, wisest, most beautiful woman in the world. She has so much more to share and offer. We want to make sure that as her family, we give her every opportunity for a fighting chance. Unfortunately between Mom's two sisters, two children and her one surviving parent, there simply aren't enough funds to cover this new treatment (avg cost per session $150-$300 a session, 2-3 sessions a week minimum), which her new insurance does not cover. We are doing the best that we can with paying the mortgage, utilities, and medication to keep her pain- free, but simply cannot afford the Vitamin C treatments. This is our last hope. The photo above was taken a week before Mother's Day 2016. The one below was taken in September, shortly after we found out about her diagnosis (don't mind our classic facial expressions). You can see the drastic difference in the last few months. We will post updates, supporting documents and some video clips in the next day or so. Thank you to all and God Bless you and your families.
