Keep their home and SAVE CHRISTMAS?

I never thought I would be on a web sight like this but it's for my family so I have to try. Four weeks ago I had a five level fusion due to a degenerative disease. Medical bills are rolling in and we've topped 300k just to get started. I'm so grateful for disability insurance but it's paid at 60% of my working income.
Here's the real problem: We've been out of pocket for all the equipment needs/handicapped access changes at home when I was discharged 10 days after surgery. We had been informed that would have all been covered! The truth however, was red tape and delays prevented that from coming to fruition. I take over 30 prescription medications daily from surgery related anemia and haven't even started what will be over 4 months of extensive rehabilation. Frankly, we have so much to be grateful for but this is overwhelming.
My wife and I saved all year for Christmas but this critical surgery has forced us to exhaust those resources. I'm heartbroken about how to give our five kids a holiday they deserve while literally protecting the roof over our heads. Until approvals are in place we are also in need of access to cash quickly to pay necessary expenses like house payment and utilities.
This holiday season I'm asking for help!! Will you help put a smile on my kiddos faces when they wake up Christmas morning? No amount is too small and I'm so grateful to you for reading our story. My wife and I would be happy to pay it forward by donating our time to volunteer for a local charity (food bank, animal shelter, etc). For every $100 earned we will both donate an hour of our time-even the kids. That's something we can provide documentation for too!
My fundraising goal includes a budget for the childrens gifts as well as the housing and utilities for the short term.
