Hi World - I am Gump DeGurski Pilleri ( or Pilleri DeGurski).
I came from the West Memphis Animal Shelter in Arkansas. I had an owner once but I was picked up by the Animal Police and locked up in doggy jail...no one came for me. I lived at the shelter for 39 very long, hot days in July/August. Since I was a good boy the shelter kept me there and hoped someone would adopt me or a rescue would come take me, not all the dogs in doggy jail are so lucky! My lucky day came when the girls from Ruff Tales Rescue came to volunteer at the shelter...I just sat and watched them quietly from my kennel and they came over and hung out with me for a bit...I stole their hearts just like I stole my Samantha and Eddie's hearts! The rescue ladies busted me out of the shelter that day, my freedom ride was so great! I had to stay in Arkansas for a few more months because I had worms in my heart because my owners didn't give me heartworm prevention before I found myself at the shelter...so looking back, it was kind of a blessing I got locked up! I went through the not so fun heartworm treatment and then got to move to Massachusetts where I found my humans after a very long search!
Sam and Eddie brought me to the vet about a week after my adoption to get my heartworm prescription and make sure I was a happy and healthy 2.5-year-old pup. Unfortunately, it was discovered that I had a mast cell tumor which I had to go through surgery to remove. After testing the tumor we found it was too deep so the surgery did not completely extract the whole tumor.
Now I have to start radiation treatment to help me become the healthy young pup that I meant to be.
Here is a picture of my (cute) bum below with my (not so cute) scar.

I am the sweetest pitbull around, and I love my new family SO much. They love me back and have decided to put me through treatments even though it is a LOT of money. The radiation will cost $5,800 plus the $2,000 surgery I already went through.
Will you help them out? Samantha and Eddie are the nicest owners, they do so much for other people and WOULD NEVER ask on their own, so I'm asking for them, and for myself.
Any amount will help! If you do not have any money to give, will you consider sharing my story? Sharing is just as valuable as monetary contributions!
Thank you, if you ever visit I have a nice big wet kiss for you!
