BubbaG's Battle Fund

Last October (2019) My little brother, Giovanni, tripped in the backyard and broke his ankle. The X-rays found a large bone tumor in his knee. He also developed a bone infection that required IV antibiotics to help get rid of it. In January his immune system was finally strong enough for the surgery to remove the tumor. They found a second smaller tumor during that surgery. He had a very long and painful recovery after the surgery. My mom is a single mother of 5 kids, who herself was recently diagnosed with cancer and has had multiple surgeries, and lots of complications over the past 3 months. She had another last Wednesday 10/14 to try and remove more of the cancer.  She has not been able to work due to the fact she herself is very sick and taking care of my little brother. My dad is not in our lives, by his own choice, and doesn’t pay child support. I am the oldest daughter, I work full time, go to school online full time, and I help out as much as I can. BubbaG and my family need help with all the mounting costs. On top of all that’s happened, on 9/28 Gio was severely injured during recess at school. When they did the head CT scan they found that he has Chiari 1 malformation. this is a condition in which brain tissue extends into your spinal canal. It occurs when part of your skull is abnormally small or misshapen, pressing on your brain and forcing it downward. He saw the pediatric neurosurgeon today 10/20, and was diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury and post concussion syndrome. The Neurologist said that due to his brain injury and the malformation, his recovery will take longer. Right now he is looking at 3-6 months of recovery and will have to work with the Traumatic Brain Injury and Concussion specialists at Children’s Mercy, as well as a surgery to fix the malformation. With Gio’s brain injury and being diagnosed with Chiari Malformation, my Mom having cancer, and caring for my brother around the clock without any family support, and her not being to return to work, leaves us struggling to pay bills, this is why I decided to create a gofundme. My little is brother is my world!!! And one of the biggest sources of happiness in life. Any donation is greatly appreciated by me and my family! We are all very close, so when one is struggling, we all are. I will keep you updated on my little bro's progress and I guess my Mom's too (lol)
