On September 17, two booksellers and I were in the store when a car came crashing through the glassed-in front facade. It came to a stop after striking an interior wall. We are so incredibly lucky that no one was hurt.
Now, we need your help. Our goals are simple: Keep paying our staff, take care of any bills we cannot postpone, and reopen when insurance lets us get a new front entrance.
Please help us support our bookselling team and prepare to reopen with a donation. While your donation to our business is not tax deductible, it sure does mean a lot to us.

Since its opening last November, Friendly City has been a much-needed presence and has been active in supporting community organizations and events. We expect the community will rally around the bookstore as a show of appreciation.
