I'd like to share with everyone who isn't already aware of the health issues my mother been facing for quite awhile now. She's decided to share finally because perhaps you or someone you know has gone through something similar and might have an idea to help, but most of all, we need the prayers to help her through this rough time right now. So, here goes: not long ago her "normal" weight fluctuated between 145-157 at the heaviest. Now she weighs 86 lbs. It started with slight nausea occasionally to now it's a daily/hourly thing. She no longer has a quality of life. Medically she needs an operation that is basically a bypass like they'd give to someone overweight. She has a constriction at the entrance and exit of her stomach which is as small as the head of a pin, not allowing solid foods to pass, and now barely allowing liquid such as soup to enter. She's been surgically deemed to high of a risk for the surgery (which we understand) as well as a feeding tube(this we do not accept). So, upon discharge of the hospital on Wednesday, she felt as if she was being sent home to die. Well, that ain't gonna happen!! She is FIGHTING this! The medical community in our area may deem her life unimportant, but I DO NOT. So we are in the process of finding out who/what/where to go, but it has to be within her network for insurance to pay. Her husband has found out that he is unable to borrow from his 401k at this time. If we go anywhere else, it will be a far drive and most likely a long stay. So by sharing this, I hope to get your prayers most of all, and now the prayer can be specific in our needs. I also need the love and support to join her in the fight to live. If she can't eat, she can't live. And she has too many lives that she loves and wants to be around for. So PLEASE join us in her fight!! Please pray like never before!!! I thank everyone from the bottom of my heart!!!!! <3
***2 Corinthians 4:16-18 So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are external.
