Saved By Music Instrument Drive
Donation protected
Hello everyone, my name is Joe Seamer. I live in Blue Springs, Missouri, with my wife and two wonderful little boys. I have been collecting musical instruments and repair supplies for the Saved by Music Foundation in Uganda. This foundation uses music education as a way to give children a safe haven from life on the streets. You can learn more about their mission here: https://savedbymusicfoundation.org.
The foundations manager (Uncle Freddie) and I came to know each other via Facebook when I mentioned I may have a few old instruments I could send to help him out. We started conversing more and more. Soon I was collecting donations of instruments, tools, and repair supplies to send to Uganda for Uncle Freddie and the Foundation.
The time has come to box everything up and send it to the children that are eagerly awaiting its arrival. I need your help raising the funds to ship all the equipment overseas.
Here is a brief summary of everything that has been collected for the foundation:
3 French Horns, 2 Baritone horns, 2 Tubas, 2 Euphoniums, 2 Mellophones, 1 Flugabone, 6 Tenor Trombones, 1 Rotor Trombone, 10 Trumpets, 6 Cornets, 1 Pocket trumpet, 1 Saxophone, 2 marching snare drums, 1 set of bongos, 1 set of concert bells, 1 pair of marching cymbals, Assorted Drum Sticks, Replacement Drum heads, Replacement drum parts, Large assortment of instrument repair tools and supplies.
As you can see, there is a lot to send that will make an immeasurable difference in a lot of lives.
Any money raised above the needed amount for shipping will be donated directly to the foundation to help cover everyday operating costs. They have recently purchased a plot of land and will be beginning construction on their own building soon. So to give a short breakdown donations will 1st, cover cost of transporting the instruments overseas and to the foundation, 2nd go to the foundation directly for the cost of their new building, and 3rd help cover the day to day operation of the foundation as they feed, clothe, and educate the children in their care.
Many hands make light work so please give generously and share with your family and friends.
