Meet Kaydence, she is 14 and this is her dog Belle.
Kaydence's year has been beyond tough for a strong, smart & amazing young girl! New city, school, left everything she knew including friends! Her father leaving our family with no financial support has added to the stress and anxiety! Her little Belle (dog) seems to always get her through each day and comforts her anxiety.
Unfortunately on Thursday Kaydence and I came home from town and we found Belle very sick! Within minutes she went from kind of standing to collapsing and losing control of all bodily functions while extremely shaking.
Kaydence swooped her up in a towel and we rushed her to the emergency where she stayed for 3 days in intensive care. Ugh! They magically saved our precious Belle however, it left us with a huge bill. Last year we lost everything (including a dad and husband) and we have been left to start over by ourselves. We are just getting by however, this incident has taken all of Decembers rent and then some... I am a newly single mom trying desperately to make it all happen!
Belle had injested Webbers Naturals Super Sleeps. The 5htp, Tryptophan & Xylitol was 130x's the overdose level for her 16lb little body. She ingested 68 chewable sleep tabs!
The chances of her making it through were slim. Belle fought and her drs. fought for her! After only a few days Belle is home with us and resting up. She is doing so well!:)
This unfortunate event has left our already struggling family with an extra $3500 vet bill which was not in the budget. I of course HAD to do what I could to save my daughters dog so I used our December rent money and my son maxed out his credit card for her.
It is very difficult for us to ask for help. However, with this emergency in our life it is necessary for me to ask. If you possibly can spare a little please help us with our vet bill.
Because of this unexpected vet bill, our sole provider leaving us high and dry, and starting over from scratch this vet bill has taken rent & Christmas.
Please help us if you can.
