Brie has been my constant companion and source of joy, and seeing her so sick has been heartbreaking. For the past week, she’s been unwell, and despite multiple vet visits, x-rays, and bloodwork, we still don’t have clear answers. Her white blood cell count is getting worse, and the vet now wants to hospitalize her for further care. Unfortunately, I’ve already reached the maximum reimbursement my insurance will cover, and Brie urgently needs inpatient care and an ultrasound. The vet suspects sepsis or pancreatitis, and without additional diagnostics and treatment, her chances of recovery are slim.

Brie is my baby and the one thing in this world that I love more than anything. I have poured so much into her and I’m not ready to lose her yet. This isn’t just a problem of old age—her breed can easily live for another 5-6 years, and I want to give her that chance. This decline happened so suddenly.
