We have until 30th September before our animals become landlocked — and we have found land that could save their future.

Barter’s Farm is facing the heart-breaking loss of its land as the current landowner is selling it for redevelopment. After searching desperately for a solution, we have found a piece of land that is perfect for our animals and could give Barter’s Farm a future — but we urgently need to raise as much money as possible towards purchasing it.

We are fighting to save 5 cows, including 2 young babies, 100+ chickens, 2 adult pigs and 7 baby piglets.

After 30th September, we will lose access to the current land, including access to water, and the animals will be left on a small piece of landlocked land with no access at all and insufficient space to graze.

We are willing to relocate wherever necessary to make the purchase of the new land affordable. We just need your help to make it possible.

Barter’s Farm is more than just a piece of land. It is a home. It is a place where animals are loved, cared for and given a chance to live as they should. It is something that has brought families together and given us a project filled with hope, purpose and love.

But now, we are facing the possibility of losing it all.

We desperately need to raise enough money as quickly as possible towards purchasing this new land and giving our animals somewhere safe to go.

At Barter’s Farm, we currently care for:

5 cows - including 2 young babies

100+ chickens

2 adult pigs

7 baby piglets

Every single one of them depends on us.

The situation we are facing is incredibly frightening. 30th September is the deadline. After this date, the current landowner will no longer allow us access to the land - including access to water for the animals. The land is being sold for redevelopment, meaning we have to find somewhere else for all of our animals to live.

The small piece of land they would be left on is landlocked, with no access at all, and there simply isn't enough space for our animals to graze.

We cannot stand by and watch the animals we have cared for and loved be left without the space, water and security they need.

The thought of our two young calves, the piglets, our cows, chickens and pigs being left in an uncertain and potentially unsafe situation is absolutely heart-breaking.

These aren't just animals to us.

They are part of our family.

We have put countless hours, energy, love and personal sacrifice into Barter’s Farm. We never imagined that we would find ourselves in a position where, with just days to go, we could lose the land beneath our feet and have nowhere suitable for the animals we have promised to care for.

We are running out of time — but we have found somewhere that could become their new home.

We have found a piece of land that could genuinely give Barter’s Farm a future.

Our goal is to use the money raised through this fundraiser towards purchasing that land.

It has the potential to give our animals the space they need to graze, reliable access to water, safe access to the land and, most importantly, somewhere they can remain together and continue to be cared for.

We are willing to relocate to wherever we need to be to make the purchase possible and keep the cost of the land within reach.

Every £5, £10, £20 or whatever you can afford could bring us one step closer to purchasing this land and keeping Barter’s Farm alive.
