Save Hudson-Emergency surgery needed
Donation protected
Hudson is my best friend. He is a very happy, loving, and energetic dog. So when he became ill last Sunday, I knew something was wrong. When I first bought him to the emergency clinic, I was told that he just had a stomach upset because he was vomiting. After receiving treatment for Gastrointestinal upset, Hudson was sent home. I thought that he would get better, but he didn't. Every day since that encounter, I had countless visits to the ER and his vet to try to figure out what was going on. Hudson was a normal, healthy, 1 year old dog. However, he began to lose weight and become weak and none of the doctors could figure out what was going on.
Fast forward to Friday morning, when I was frustrated with the multiple visits to the ER and no significant improvement. His emergency doctor came to the conclusion that he would need an Abdominal exploratory surgery done immediately. After the surgery, Hudson was back to his normal self! He was eating and very happy and playful. Yesterday, took a turn for the worse. He became very ill and I rushed him to the ER. At the ER, it was determined that the diseased portion of his intestines were not removed and his intestine had ruptured, leaking intestinal bacteria into his abdomen. He now has septic abdomen, which is a life threatening condition. He needs surgery sometime today to ensure his survival. In order to have the surgery done, the emergency clinic needs me to cover the cost of his surgery.
I have spent all of my savings to help him, I am only a medical student. Although he is in critical care, Hudson still wags his tail, is still playful, and I am determined to do whatever it takes to save him.
Thank you for the prayers and donations so far. Please share this link on the social media so more people can also see it.
Thank you and God Bless.
