Help save Ziva: She needs a life saving surgery
Donation protected
My name is Christine, and I have an amazing Imagine Peace for Pups rescue dog named Ziva.
Ziva is estimated to be between 6-7 years old and is a Staffordshire Terrier.
I have had Ziva for 4 years, and she is a loving and sweet girl.
I recently had to take Ziva to the vet because she was having a hard time urinating. I took her to Animal Hospital at Murphy's Corner where they did testing for a UTI. It came back positive, and they prescribed an antibiotic. Ziva seemed to be doing well after this. Yesterday (Wed 6/25) morning, she was again having a difficult time urinating. She would keep squatting and stay there for a long time. I noticed she wasn't eating or drinking, and she was very low energy, so I took Ziva to VEG for care. While there, they determined she had a blockage in her urethra and gave an estimate of $10,500.00 to take her into surgery. I asked if there was an alternative, and they said that the surgery is the only option to remove the stones other than euthanasia.
I didn't just rescue Ziva; she rescued me at a really rough time in my life. I love my girl so much and can't imagine having to put her down because I cannot afford a life-saving surgery. She still has half her life left to live.
I greatly appreciate anything you can do to help in this awful situation. Please let me know if you can help in any way.
I would like to give a huge thank you to Penelope with Angel Resource Connection for the $500 donation towards vet costs.
Thank you very much for any assistance that you can offer in saving my girl.
