Dear Family, Friends, and Compassionate Hearts,

I am reaching out today with a heart that is heavy yet hopeful, asking for help for my precious fur baby, Zion. Zion is a 16-year-old Siberian Husky who has been my constant companion, my comfort, and my greatest blessing for the past sixteen years.

Over the last three days, he has been continuously hemorrhaging from his right eye. Despite being on two prescribed medications, his condition has not improved, and he now urgently needs emergency diagnostic care and treatment. As much as I wish I could handle this on my own, the financial burden has become overwhelming.

At 62 years old, I have lived a life filled with gratitude, but one of my deepest heartaches was never being able to have children due to long-term health challenges. In His mercy, God filled that empty space in my heart when He placed Zion in my life.

Sixteen years ago, a dear friend wanted to bless me with a dog for my birthday. I’ve always believed in rescuing animals, so I went to the shelter. I didn’t realize how large it was and had arrived in heels, so I turned around, came back in tennis shoes, and decided to start from the very back.

I remember wondering if anyone ever made it that far. The very first door I opened, I saw Zion. He was just one year old—battered, abused, and so thin he looked like a skeleton. My heart shattered instantly. When we met in the small park area, he ran straight to me as if he already knew me, as if we were being reunited rather than introduced.

I didn’t even have a name for him until he stood inches away from me, and the words just came out: “Come here, Zion. I love you.” From that moment on, we were inseparable. It was pure love at first sight.

Zion didn’t just find a home that day—he rescued me right back. The emptiness in my heart was finally filled. Since 2010, we have walked through life side by side. Zion has always been gentle, calm, and deeply loving.

He has a special gift with seniors and people with disabilities—comforting without words, loving without conditions. He was born with the heart of a service dog, always giving, always gentle, always present. Now, in his golden years, he needs that same love returned to him.

Watching him grow weaker each day is breaking my heart. I know he needs immediate and specialized care, and I cannot do this alone. I am humbly asking my family, friends, and community to help me save my Zion. Any donation—no matter how small—will go directly toward his emergency veterinary care, helping to diagnose the cause of his bleeding and, most importantly, relieve his pain.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to read our love story. I truly believe Zion still has more life to live, more love to give, and more moments to share. With your prayers, kindness, and support, I have faith that we can give him that chance.

With endless gratitude and hope,
Sincerely,

On behalf of
