Save Ziad and his Family!
Donation protected

Update: 9th April 2025
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everybody who has donated so far - your contributions go a long way, and I wish that I had better news to share with you, but unfortunately, Ziad has been on the receiving end of more unimaginable loss and cruelty at the hands of the Israeli occupation - and he needs help more than ever.
The photos above include a picture of his daughter, who is in critical condition in hospital and needs help - another photo shows the formal clothes she wore for Eid - what was supposed to be a night of celebration became a night of tragedy for many Palestinians in Gaza.
A photo of his wife is also shown above - she was tragically martyred too.
A picture of Ziad’s tent, which was destroyed, can also be seen above.
Ziad has experienced grief which most of us could not even begin to imagine - he has lost his home, his loved ones and he still lives in fear of Israel’s ongoing bombing campaign.
He needs our support more than ever to be able to survive and hopefully rebuild his life.
Thank you
- Amy

Hi, my name is Amy and I have started this GoFundMe to help raise money for Ziad and his family - who are currently trapped in the Gaza Strip and urgently need your help. He has written his story below - please take the time to read it and help his family by donating or sharing this fundraiser:
Dear Compassionate Souls, I come to you today with a heartfelt plea for support. In the wake of the devastating conflict in Gaza, I have created this GoFundMe campaign to extend a lifeline to my innocent children and family, especially my father and mother, who have suffered unimaginable hardships. Together, we can help rebuild their shattered lives, provide access to life, and offer a glimmer of hope for a brighter future.
My Story:
As a survivor of this horrific conflict, I have personally experienced the unimaginable loss and devastation that has plagued the Gaza Strip. I have lost seven members of my beloved family, and my home and car have been reduced to rubble. In the midst of this chaos, I find myself, as a father and as a son, responsible for the safety and future of my innocent child and my father.
Dear Friends,
I am Ziad, a simple poor man, a taxi driver, 38 years old from Gaza, I have 4 children Rahaf, Samar, Anas, and my baby who was born in the war Hassan. With a heavy heart, I reach out to you today, asking for your help during these difficult times.
I am a resident of the northern Gaza Strip, from Jabalia camp. Now I live in a plastic tent made of cloth after being displaced to the southern Gaza Strip.
Unfortunately, we have had to leave our home several times, in search of safety and stability. Recently, my home was destroyed by bombing during the occupation, I had recently built it with my own effort and had not paid its installments, and I lost my only source of income. I will attach pictures to give you a look at the destruction.
Furthermore, I also lost the money I had to pay for the construction to the workers, and I am still paying the installments due to me. Every day is a struggle as we face difficulties in obtaining basic necessities such as water, food and medicine. Even providing basic items such as diapers and milk has become an incredible challenge due to the high prices and lack of income.
The situation worsened when I lost my source of income. Therefore, I ask you to kindly support me, and any funds raised will be allocated to the following urgent needs:
1) Providing food and drink to support my family.
2) Ensure that my children get healthy and nutritious food and that my baby gets milk, Cerelac and diapers.
3) Provide me with a new source of income, after I lost my only source of income.
4) Provide treatment for my mother who suffers from diabetes and high blood pressure.
5) Provide a toilet that is suitable for humans..
6) Repair my dilapidated tent because it has become unusable due to destruction..
7) Provide gas for cooking instead of cooking on fire.
8) Provide sanitary pads and detergents for my wife and children who suffer from diseases and insects in the head..
Living in tents
As for living in tents, there are tales of pain and suffering
When the temperature rises, we live as if we live in hell, and the harsh cold in the winter.
Living in a tent is difficult and harsh, it takes us back to primitive life, no walls, no privacy, our voices reach the neighboring tents and their voices reach us.
We cook and prepare food on fire, outside the tent, and we set up an oven that we share in baking, and there is a shared bathroom, and showering is at spaced intervals and requires prior coordination between the tent partners, and the children start the morning journey to search for firewood, wood and cardboard, as for water; my children and I travel long distances to bring it, and sometimes a cart of volunteers comes to provide us with it, all of life has returned to primitiveness, no kitchen, no bathroom, no water taps.
Even the smallest donation can make a huge difference in our lives. Your kindness and generosity can help us rebuild our lives and escape the horrors of war. I humbly ask you to consider lending a helping hand at this critical time. Please keep in mind that my ambition is not greatness, but to live a simple and stable life. Your support will bring us closer to that goal.
