My 18 year old cousin, Zeina Baddreddine, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in October of 2025. Since then, she has underwent countless chemotherapy sessions and medical procedures. Unfortunately, the chemotherapy has not been successful in slowing down the disease; in fact, her condition has worsened. The current situation is critical, and the only option available is a bone marrow transplant. The cost of this procedure is approximately $80,000, which excludes the necessary tests and treatments before and after the transplants. In addition to her family being unable to cover the expenses, there is no chance of receiving aid from the Ministry of Health in Lebanon given the current situation and lack of funding.
