A message from Baby Zayne’s Mother, Casteelyn Bacera:
Hello, my name is Casteelyn Bacera, and I am the mother of my sweet boy, Zayne Cascen B. San Diego. Zayne is a precious 1-year-old with a heart full of love and joy, but he’s been facing some difficult health challenges from the very start. He was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot when he was just two months old, but after more tests, we learned that his condition is even more complex than we originally thought. Zayne was diagnosed with Double Outlet Right Ventricle with Pulmonic Stenosis, as well as renal agenesis—meaning he only has one kidney.
Since his diagnosis, we’ve spent countless days and nights in the hospital, trying to help him through each hurdle. His condition requires a series of procedures, including catheterization and open-heart surgery. Unfortunately, because of his kidney condition, Zayne is highly susceptible to infections, such as urinary tract infections (UTIs). Just recently, we were discharged from the hospital, and he’s currently on medication to treat a UTI. The doctors have advised us to take him to the National Kidney and Transplant Institute in Manila for a full evaluation of his kidney before proceeding with his surgery to ensure that no infections will interfere with the procedure. There’s even a possibility that he may need dialysis after surgery. We are trying to schedule his surgery for July 2025.
As you can imagine, the medical expenses are overwhelming. The tests, medications, potential dialysis, hospital stays, airfare, and accommodations—since we need to travel from Mindanao (our province) to Manila, where the hospital is—are more than we can bear alone. We are humbly asking for any financial assistance to help cover these costs. No amount is too small, and your support, whether financial or in the form of prayer, will make a profound difference in Zayne's journey.
Zayne is a little fighter, a bright light in our lives who brings so much happiness to our family. The doctors have told us that he may not have a "normal" life like other children, but we hold on to hope every day. We believe in the possibility that Zayne can lead a happy, fulfilling life, and we are doing everything we can to make that a reality.
While the fundraiser is under the name Almis Andrada, it has been created on behalf of Baby Zayne’s mother, Casteelyn Bacera because there is no GoFundMe in the Philippines. All donations will go directly to me for Zayne’s treatment and care. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your generosity, your prayers, and your support as we walk this difficult path together.
With deep gratitude,
Casteelyn Bacera
